While researching shore fishing opportunities in the Toronto Area, we took the ferry across the harbor to the Toronto Islands. There we found plenty of weed beds and structure capable of holding fish. It wasn't long before we discovered a pattern and we're catching Northern Pike almost non-stop.
Damon Schreiber (1 month, 1 week ago)I've caught a pumpkinseed on a worm at Eglinton Flats, and a 12" largemouth using a red and white spoon. I caught the largie from the bridge. Another guy who fishes there says he catches plenty of black crappie there.
Steve (1 month, 1 week ago)Awesome combo, haha! Steve TheFin.Com
onelivv (1 month, 1 week ago)Very brave... I've bare-handed a few big skis and there's that moment while slipping into the plate that you know all hell could brake loose. Once you clamp on there's a sigh of relief, but respect. ;-)

cam (1 month, 3 weeks ago)The eglinton flats are full of sunfish and brownbull head. Supposedly there's a few carp and largemouth, but I've never caught any. I haven't fished there since I was a kid, but from what i remember, if you cast out a worm, you'll catch something!
Clive Mathias (4 months, 4 weeks ago)I totally had a fish on right there!
